Celebrating A Decade At Dillanos
10 Years of Helping People, Making Friends & Having Fun
Mike started his decade at Dillanos strong, joining the team as a National Sales Representative before quickly shifting into a hybrid BDR/Sales Rep role.
In 2018, Mike and his family made the move from Eugene, OR, to help “fill the big shoes” of Dillanos culture as a Community Ambassador.
Then in 2020, Mike further diversified his resume by stepping into a new role as Dillanos National Distribution Sales Representative.
After all the variety and experience he collected along the way, Mike eventually found himself full circle back to his roots as the National Sales Rep we know him as today. Talk about climbing up, down, and all around the corporate ladder!

When asked what core value resonates most deeply with him, Mike shared:
“This may come across as tacky, but I truly live our mission to Help People, Make Friends, Have Fun! Our core values are the compass, and our mission is the map. Together, they guide us to navigate this wacky, wonderful coffee world we live in with confidence.”

Whether it’s helping train for competitions, getting up at the crack of dawn to go fishing or answering a call at 2am to help with an issue around a trade show, Mike is always there for people. He’s also wicked smart behind the bar, is incredibly knowledgeable on all aspects of our industry and truly the kind of person everyone wants in their corner.”

Looking back on the last 10 years, Mike says it’s the moments spent alongside his teammates that stand out the most:
“So many memories! From my first, nerve-wracking in-person interview, to traveling across the country with my co-workers competing, selling, training, teaching, and laughing, it’s hard to pick just one favorite. But I’ve loved every moment, even the really tough ones, because we did it together as a team!”
What sticks with Mike most about his time at Dillanos is the opportunity Chris and David have given him to grow, learn, connect, help, love, and laugh throughout the years.
And of course, we had to ask the important PTO question!
Mike has some exciting ideas in store for his next adventure, with the main theme being quality time with family. Right now, Italy or the Virgin Islands are at the top of the list!
Over the last decade, Mike has brought friendship, leadership, and serious business growth to Dillanos. The impact he’s made here has been incredible, and we’re grateful for everything he’s poured into this team and community.
After 10 years in the coffee world, Mike has a few strong favorites. Here’s what he’s loving lately:
“I’ve been really digging more developed coffees lately and find Midway has really been doing it for me lately. That said, I can absolutely appreciate a super delicate anaerobic single-origin light roast. Our current Limited washed Ethiopia Hafursa is banging!”
