06.2021 Coffee With a Cause

Posted on August 18, 2021

Community Involvement

As we all know and love, Dillanos is very active in our community. Whether that be through our time, product or a monetary value, it is important to Dillanos to support and help everyone around us. Living out “help people” within our mission statement is something we strive to do every single day.

As of May 7th, we have donated 830lbs of coffee to various schools and charities including the Food Bank, MultiCare, and Habitat for Humanity. 🎉

Hannah’s got the updates from over the last year detailed below:

MultiCare

Mike “Coffee” Miller helped facilitate our donations to Auburn MultiCare and Cody Green helped collaborate with the folks at Wanna Cupcake for our contributions to Good Sam’s. David and Chris also helped set up the donations to Virginia Mason.

It felt amazing to help, and they were super stoked to get the free coffee! We gave them a few cases of Frac and a couple extra pots so they could keep the team caffeinated and comforted with some warm delicious coffee during very uncertain times.

Police Room Attached to DCR

I felt like it was finally time for me to ask Amber why there were always SO many police cars out front at DCR….. “daily patrol?” Nope!

Did you know that the tinted windows right in front of the assigned “Sumner Police” parking right out front is because we offer a private room to the Sumner Police Department? Similar to the station, it’s another place they can relax in between dispatch but on this side of town. As you can see in the photos above, is stocked with coffee and muffins, a massage chair right behind Mr. Kaylor, TV, workout bike, restroom and couch, kitchenette and whatever else the team chooses to bring (peep the two guitars)!

Local Police Officer John Kaylor has been with Sumner Police for 17 years. He said that he and his team are so grateful that this is an option for them to take advantage of. Typically Kaylor stops at Dillanos for a cup of coffee and a few minutes in the massage chair once a shift. Most specifically, the night shift takes advantage of the room.

While Mike and I were in there taking a “tour” and asking Kaylor a few questions, he got dispatched to a call. Stay safe out there, we appreciate you!

Cascade Christian & Fundraising for South Sudan

In April, our team was able to bring the Dillanos Cold Brew Van to Cascade Christian to make drinks for students & families while accepting donations to support clean water in South Sudan. Hannah Morris and Ava Heyer were great barista’s!
