Lying just south of the equator, you’ll find the small African nation of Burundi and the Kayanza Commune. Here, smallholder farms cultivate coffee on an exceptionally small scale.
With most farms consisting of a mere 300 trees on average and commonly located right in the very backyards of the farmers homes, Burundian coffees are not mass produced. Predominantly hand-picked by just family during the late spring to early summer harvesting season, Dillanos Limited No. 87 Burundi Natural is a limited-edition coffee sourced from one of those very farms.
