Come Walk With Me

The Foundations of MultiCare have made the difficult decision to cancel the in-person portion of the Come Walk With Me breast cancer walk on October 2. The event will continue as a virtual fundraising event.

The virtual event will continue to raise critical funding for MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital’s breast health programs and services.

Last year, they raised nearly $88,000 through our virtual walk! They hope to build on this success for our 2021 virtual event, and hope you will continue your commitment to the event cause.

What’s not changing? You’re still walking for the cause! You and your team can now walk when you want, where you want and how you want, while dressed in your best pink attire!

Come Walk With Me participants like you and your supporters/donors can continue to support those who have been diagnosed or are in breast cancer treatment. One hundred percent of funds raised benefit breast health programs at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Spooners Farm

Fall is here! Farming in the Puyallup Valley since 1882, Spooners Farm is open all of October for all your Fall fun!

This year they are harvesting over 50 varieties of pumpkins, gourds, squash and corn.

During October, the farm is open for your enjoyment as we celebrate fall the way we all love. The corn maze, pumpkin patch, caramel apples, pumpkin spice lattes, the animal barn will be waiting for from October 1 to 31st, 9:00am to 6:00pm.

October 10th

SECOND ANNUAL STEIN DASH

5Ks are fun. Beer is fun. 5Ks & Beer are typically not a natural pairing….typically. However, on Sunday, October 10th, the best of both worlds collide for the second annual STEIN DASH – and this year will again be EXCITING, for sure!

So, here’s the plan. You and your friends are going to meet at the start line Sunday morning. You’re going to wander over to packet pickup where you will receive a pretty sweet Commemorative Stein, an awesome event shirt, a bib number, and a high-five. Then we shoot off our gun and you get running.

3.1 miles is no marathon, but it still requires a pit stop (or three) and water at on-course stops are a thing of the past. Grab your Stein, fill it up with a different beer at each of our three Beer Zones and chug, sip, sample, taste, pound – however you want to do it – just drink that beer and get back on the course because the clock still runs as you drink.

We are all going to be super proud of you when you finish the race, so we’d like to celebrate with a free entry into Oktoberfest! All you have to do is keep walking….the Finish Line is going to aim you right into the amazing Festhalle at Oktoberfest NW.

The rest of the day is yours to enjoy. The beer will be flowing, there’s football on TVs, huge selection of awesome beer, food, wiener dog races and more!
